Even though it arrived on Sat, I wasn't around when the PO tried to drop it off so I had to wait a looooong weekend for Mon. to roll around to get it in my hands. I wish I understood Japanese cause the dvd portion "School of AC/DC" seemed amusing but I have no idea who the two guys were that were doing their own little skit that sounded like it had nothing to do with what the other guests were doing.

Thoughts on the cd is this, as an AC/DC fan, this album did NOT disappoint me!! But you also have to have an open mind while listening to it, you can't complain when it comes to comparing the original song to the remake. Each band puts their own style to it. Some keeps it close to the original, some tone it down, some make it upbeat, some make it heavier, and so forth. Plus with alot of these bands, I never heard their music. I might have seen their name but that's about as far as it went. Now I'm going to have to check some of them out. And I'm sure that what I talk about here, half of you don't have a clue.

BECR's version of Thunderstruck really impressed me. Not just the music (which sounds so funny when you hear the original once you hear this) but the way that Hidaka sings the vocals gives it a new twist that I really like.

Scoobie Do's version of Heatseeker, the song overall is quite different of how they handled it but it's neat to see how these bands give it their own mix.

I really like this version of Hells Bells. I guess it has a bit of a heavy/mellow side, if that makes any sense. *lol* It sounds so neat to hear an electric acoustic sound to it instead of that hard hitting edge. For some reason, this remake just gives me chills and thought it was awesome that Hidaka added his own vocals to it too.

Whole Lotta Rosie and Dirty Deeds (both Bon Scott vocals), the bands that did those remakes blew me away on how close they could get their vocals like Bon's.

The weirdest out of them all is probably the remake of You Shook Me All Night Long. It's instrumental but I try to place where the lyrics go and it's a bit hard to follow but an interesting idea to do that.

Soooo..anyways, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
