Comment here asking me why I love a certain book, song, movie, character, quote, food, place, or anything you can think of you that I love and you've been curious about, and I'll respond to you telling you why in a comment.
I got into TON from my tattoo artist back home. He told his wife to play one song from their cd (and only one song he liked, how weird) and it intrigued me. I had to check out their stuff the next time I stopped at the mall (since at the time, the internet was unheard of *lol*). Something about Peter's voice just makes me tingle and their style of music is different than other bands like them out there.
Actually, I don't watch much of CN, it's NickToons *laughs*. And surprisingly enough, I don't watch it like I used to. One being cause of my shift change and the other is that they changed their morning lineup so I don't bother with it as much. Now I just listen to the music channel.
Hope you have fun at the con! As well as your kids meeting their brother for the first time. Wish I could've been there to see it.
Well you pretty much said it yourself *lol*. Hmmm....something about the storyline intrigued me. Thought it was pretty neat not only for a game storyline but to make an anime out of it and have it still be just as badass. As much as I like playing GG, I fell so much in love with GGOD, the graphics, the new characters, I just wish we could get an anime for that one too.
I think you'll like the series. Van could pass for Spike's (from Bebop) great great grandfather. Just their personalities are so alike though Van is a virgin (and boy does it show) and kinda clueless. The mecha is very pretty too and I like the idea on how the mecha's function. The characters, especially the ones that team up with Van, you can't help but fall in love with them right away, especially the El (something) group of old men. Their mecha is made up like a Gundam. The storyline is pretty interesting though in some parts it still confuses me. I'd still like to hear the dub though.
Oh geez, now I really have to think on this without really repeating myself from before.
One thing that amazed me with the series, especially with certain characters, is how Kubo likes to be sneaky and not really show anything till it builds up. And really, when you think about it, I think the RenRuki setup is more in depth than say GinRan (which really, I'm not a fan of the pair but it would've been nice to see more about them). And to me, that says alot cause really, Kubo didn't have to show us that much when it came to RenRuki's lives. That shows to me on how important one is to the other.
At first, I thought Renji was just being a spiteful prick. I almost didn't like him cause of the way he treated Rukia when he and Bya came to retrieve her. It wasn't of course till later that we see the connection between the two. But when it got to #32, my heart just bled all over the place. Something about that kind of relationship when characters have a connection/past together and see how things have changed to the present, really pulls me in. Not just Bleach either. Now if they had become total strangers, I don't think I'd love them as much cause then it only shows that they had moved on and not really thought of the other. But since Renji shows how much it affected him and how much he wanted to change to save her life, the wild dog turned into such a puppy. *laughs*
For the most part, I blame getting hooked on the series from my older sis. She's the one that told me about it when I was home last yr but I never caught an eps while there since I'd always fell asleep kinda early. But alot of influence that I like or get into, it's her fault. Plus I never would've even known about it if it wasn't for her telling me. For the series though, I think it's just a really neat idea. And to pull it off so well and keep a viewer on their toes and guessing, I like those type of shows. Hell, I think that's why I never gave up on LOST.
Speaking of LOST, after watching last night's eps. I think Desmond keeps getting hotter and what makes it a bigger plus is that accent *mmmmmm....*
Damn, it bugs the shit out of me that we have to wait so long this yr for a new Dexter season. I think not till late July or close to the early fall.
BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! You'll never forget that boner pic huh?
NIN was another influence induced by my older sis. So being the age I was when PHM came out, I thought that sound and his voice was so different than the other music out there. Plus my hottie for a neighbor was really into NIN so I could never really get away from it, it was always around me somewhere. But now a days, I just don't know what to think anymore so I'll just go bask in the glow of the early days.
